Scooters are
typically a more convenient option for inexperienced two-wheel riders, even if
they might not be as quick or strong as motorbikes. And among the most recognizable
brands in the scooter market is Vespa. Due to its long existence, the Italian
firm offers a wide range of classic models. The Vespa scooter brand is not an
independent company like Harley-Davidson. It is reportedly owned by Piaggio, an
Italian company established in the late 1880s, according to one of the Vintage Vespa parts manufacturer.
Piaggio, like a few other motorcycle producers, didn't begin by building bikes.
Prior to World War II, the company was one of Italy's most prosperous aircraft
manufacturers.
